Wild Irish Run

Celebrating its 48th anniversary, this historic event, originally known as the Lake Guntersville 10,000 since 1979, stands as one of Alabama’s oldest and most prestigious 10K races. Featuring a USATF-certified course, runners will enjoy a scenic and fast-paced route through downtown Guntersville and along the beautiful shores of Lake Guntersville. Participants can choose between the classic 10K race starting at 7:00 a.m. and a newly certified 5K course beginning shortly after at 7:05 a.m. Open to runners of all ages, the Wild Irish Run offers exciting competition with trophies and medals awarded to the top three male and female finishers, plus race packets packed with T-shirts and goodies available for pickup at the City of Guntersville Recreation Center at 1500 Sunset Drive.
