The Fast And The Furriest 5k

Join us on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Lakeview Park in Frankfort, Kentucky, for The Fast and The Furriest 5K, a scenic and family-friendly running event supporting the Betty J. Martin L.I.F.E. House for Animals, Inc. Now in its third year, this exciting 5K on paved trails welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities to enjoy a fun and spirited community experience starting at 2:00 PM. Participants will receive commemorative long-sleeved performance shirts, compete for awards in overall and age group divisions, and enjoy free race photos, post-race snacks, and hot chocolate. Families can also bring their children to the complimentary Kid's 1/4 Mile "Furry Friend Dash." With options for team participation and a virtual race, The Fast and The Furriest 5K is the perfect winter run to support a great cause while celebrating fitness and furry friends alike.
