The Delmarva Ultra Challenge (DUC) is a unique and demanding 100k trail race designed for experienced ultra runners seeking a true test of endurance and mental toughness. This distinctive event features two consecutive 50K trail runs: the first takes place Friday night at a secret location revealed only hours before the start, challenging participants with night running and an element of surprise, while the second is the classic Algonquin race course held the following Saturday morning. Combining the times from both runs, the DUC crowns the top male and female finishers, rewarding those with a strong mind, high pain tolerance, and a passion for adventure. Open to runners who have completed a 50-mile race or longer under the official cutoff within the past year, the race offers only 30 coveted spots, with final selections made by the Race Dictator and General Gabe.
