Simsonian 5k Kick Off Classic #23

Join us for the 23rd Annual Simsonian 5K Kick-Off Classic on August 16, 2025, at Grosse Ile High School in picturesque Grosse Ile, Michigan. Whether you're a seasoned runner or simply looking for a fun day out, this event offers something for everyone. The day begins with a One Mile Fun Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m., followed by the main 5K race at 9:00 a.m., featuring a fast and flat course with breathtaking views of the Detroit River. For virtual participants, the race can be completed anytime between August 1 and August 16, 2025. Registration fees range from $10 to $25 for in-person participants and $30 for virtual racers. All proceeds support the Grosse Ile Educational Foundation’s Steve Sims Leadership scholarships. Don't miss the post-race party with music and refreshments as we celebrate this special event together!
