Sean Cooley Memorial 5k

Join us for the uplifting Sean Cooley Memorial 5k on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, in the picturesque Ocean Springs, Jackson. This event honors the memory of MSG Sean Cooley, a heroic soldier, with a day of running and remembrance. Starting at 9:00 AM with a 1-mile race followed by the 5k at 9:30 AM, runners of all levels are welcome to participate. Cash prizes await the top male and female finishers in the 1-mile race, with $75 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third. The 5k registration fee is $20 for GCRC members and $22 for non-members, with a $25 late registration option on race day. Both courses are USATF certified for state records, and awards will be presented across standard divisions in the 5k. Participants will also receive a commemorative t-shirt while supplies last.
