This iconic annual road race, a longstanding favorite in the Ohio Valley, kicks off the lively Scio Summer Fest. Participants can select from a variety of activities, including a timed 5K road race starting at 7:00 PM, a kids’ 1-mile fun run, and a family fun walk/run beginning at 6:15 PM. The 5K features a scenic course winding through city streets and a local rails-to-trails path, offering picturesque views of the area's foliage and a charming covered bridge crossing. Each participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt and goody bag, with volunteers ensuring a seamless experience and hydration stations along the route. Cap off the event with an awards ceremony at the firehouse, featuring drinks, door prizes, and delectable ice cream.
