This thrilling event features a competitive 1-mile uphill race starting at the San Joaquin River Trailhead and culminating at the breathtaking summit of Pincushion Mountain. Participants will vie for top honors with chip-timed precision, prizes for the top three male and female finishers, and recognition for age group champions and Clydesdale/Athena division winners. For the daring adventurers, the Mountain Goat edition beckons with a unique twist - conquer as many ascents to Pincushion Peak as possible within four hours, with the initial climb officially timed. Following the rigorous ascent, conquer a scenic 1.5-mile descent before ascending once more to secure the prestigious Mountain Goat status by completing at least two trips to the summit. All finishers will receive a distinctive award, while the top male and female contenders will earn special accolades.
