Mountain Mist

Join the 32nd Annual Mountain Mist, one of the Southeast's oldest and largest trail runs, for an exhilarating 50km adventure through Monte Sano State Park and Huntsville Land Trust Trails in North Alabama. Traverse rocky, well-maintained trails with challenging terrains including rock walls, sinkholes, and the infamous Waterline Trail. Registration opens on October 1 at 12:00 am CST on Ultra Signup, with a strict limit of 525 participants and a deadline of January 17, 2026. The race kicks off at 7:00 am CST, featuring approximately 4,300 feet of elevation gain and various checkpoints to ensure safety and adherence to time limits. Be prepared for anything from 10 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit and remember, no strollers, bicycles, or headphones are allowed during the race.
