Lv5k & 1 Mile Walk/run

Join us for the vibrant LV5K & 1 Mile Walk/Run on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Alexandria Senior High School football field in Alexandria, Rapides! Hosted by the Lauren Vaughn Memorial Foundation, this event honors the memory of Lauren Vaughn and raises awareness about impaired driving. Participants can choose between a 1-mile stroll or a spirited 5K run, with races starting at 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM respectively. Whether you're local or joining virtually, there's an option for all to support the cause and connect with fellow runners and walkers. By taking part, you'll be contributing to the Lauren Vaughn Memorial Scholarship for future nurses. Awards will be presented to top finishers in both races, with recognition for individual age groups. Early registrants by March 15, 2026, will receive a race shirt at packet pickup.
