Frozen Foot Race

Join the annual Frozen Foot Race on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, in beautiful Traverse City, Grand Traverse, for an exciting start to the racing season. This popular Northern Michigan event, established in the mid-1980s, offers a challenging 5-mile race beginning at 9:30 a.m. from Eastern Elementary School, alongside a 1-mile fun run at 9:00 a.m. designed for kids 12 and under, making it perfect for the whole family. Participants compete for awards in top male and female finishers across open, master, and 16 age group categories. Traverse City Track Club members enjoy free entry, while non-members can register for $30 adults and $20 students (ages 0-17), with the fun run priced at just $5.
