Experience the ultimate test of endurance at Death by 5k Tyler, a 24-hour challenge held at the picturesque Tyler State Park. Organized by RunStrong Events, this signature event pushes participants to their limits by requiring them to complete ten 5k runs spaced 2.5 hours apart. Starting at 8 am, runners must finish each 5k before the next one begins, navigating through rugged dirt trails with rocks, roots, and mud. As physical fatigue and sleep deprivation set in, participants are equipped with headlamps or hand lights for running in the dark. In between runs, rest in your car or pitch a tent at the Blackjack camping area serving as the race headquarters, where hot meals and snacks are provided. Limited to 150 participants, finishers will earn a coveted coffin award and exclusive event swag.
