Taking place on soft crushed gravel and dirt roads, the course showcases the best birding and wildflower viewing areas of the refuge with multiple aid stations offering a variety of refreshments. Participants can look forward to spotting the majestic great blue heron as they run through this picturesque landscape. Pacers are permitted for the longer distances, and finishers will receive a unique blue heron medal, with special awards for top performers.
