Because Of The Brave 5k

Join us for the inspiring Because of the Brave 5K on Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, at the beautiful American Village in Montevallo, Alabama. This heartfelt event pays tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Participants will carry a 2x3 American flag throughout the course, symbolizing the honor and respect we hold for our heroes. The non-timed 5K takes you on a scenic 1.55-mile loop, suitable for all ages. The event begins at 7:00 AM, allowing time to attend the annual Memorial Day Service at the nearby Alabama National Cemetery at 9:00 AM. After the run, join the American Village Memorial Day Celebration. Receive a custom challenge coin at the finish line and stay hydrated at the water station.
