2026 Deer Lake 5 Mile Trail Run

Experience the thrill of the 2026 Deer Lake 5 Mile Trail Run on Sunday, April 26, 2026, set against the beautiful rural backdrop of Killingworth, CT. Returning after a seven-year break, this challenging 5-mile trail race features nearly 500 feet of elevation gain through over 250 acres of the scenic Deer Lake Outdoor Center, offering runners and hiking enthusiasts a dynamic course with technical terrains including rocks, roots, and mud. Registration opens at 8:00 AM with the race starting promptly at 9:00 AM, giving participants ample time to prepare for an adventurous day. Competitive runners can vie for overall male and female awards as well as age group honors spanning from 0-12 years to 70+, while the first 100 registrants will receive a guaranteed event T-shirt. Entry fees range from $30 to $45 depending on registration timing. Please note, dogs are not permitted.
